The Eurobike show is known as the largest bike show in the world. However, it was much quieter this year. Many exhibitors either couldn’t come because of different restrictions or found it too complicated or not effective enough to exhibit there. So the number of visitors was low—no crowds as we were used to from past years.
But still, there were some interesting projects on display, like the Arosno E-Trace. The world’s first real electric snow bike, as the inventors call it. It has a recumbent seat, two skis in the front, and a rubber track in the back. Also, a 250W e-assist is included, and the Enviolo stepless transmission. The range should be up to 45 km / 28 miles, and the maximum rider’s weight is 120 kg / 265 lbs.
The E-Trace has been designed and will be completely produced in France, and it should be available in November 2022. The expected price is to be 6.690 EUR / USD 7,941.
Two young innovators and founders of the company Romain Faure and Agathe Lebaron has partnered with industrial designer Olivier Jeanjean who gave the vehicle nice-looking shapes. I especially like the curved boom and integration of the cranks into it. Both Romain and Agathe live in French Alps, so they have noticed that the winter sports market has been looking for new activities to enhance the customer experience. So they re-started the development of the snow bike Romain started back in 2006. I like the general idea, but I leave it up to you to judge whether you would like to own it or at least try it during your winter holidays.
