Catrike is marking its 25th anniversary in 2025, a milestone that highlights its journey from a one-person operation into one of the largest recumbent trike manufacturers in the United States. To celebrate, the company is inviting enthusiasts to an annual Factory Tour on February 22, 2025, offering a behind-the-scenes look at its Orlando, Florida, facility.
The Factory Tour, running from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, will give visitors an opportunity to see the entire production process in action—from raw aluminum tubing to fully assembled trikes. Attendees can also take a ride on the Grove Park Trail, a scenic 3-mile route directly behind the factory. Plus, those who attend will receive a free, limited-edition factory tour t-shirt while supplies last.
“Reaching this milestone is extraordinary,” said Catrike General Manager Mark Egeland. “Twenty-five years of manufacturing in Orlando and continued growth is a testament to our design philosophy, manufacturing process, and incredible team. We take great pride in our products and the innovations we’ve brought to the market. Looking ahead, we’re excited to continue our growth in the IBD market and build on the brand’s momentum.”
Catrike was founded in 2000 by Brazilian mechanical engineer Paulo Camasmie. Driven by his passion for engineering and cycling, Camasmie aimed to design and manufacture the best possible recumbent trike. He established the company’s headquarters in Orlando, Florida, where each Catrike begins as raw aluminum tubing and is transformed through cutting, bending, welding, painting, and assembly into a premium recumbent trike.
For those passionate about recumbent trikes, this anniversary event is an excellent opportunity to see how Catrike has evolved while getting an up-close look at the craftsmanship behind each trike. More details are available at catrike.com.
