About a month ago, the NVHPV Dutch recumbent association, celebrated 40 years of existence. On the programme was not only a meeting of all members, including the founding members, who were honoured with a standing ovation, but also lectures, a small exhibition and a ride together. Around 200 people have shown up and the overall atmosphere was great.
It was also nice that there were still some recumbent bicycles from the 80’s to admire such as the Danish Leitra, one of the first Alleweders, the Speedy from the collection of Mike Burrows and the wooden bicycle of Joost Conijn. Attendees could also take a look inside the cocpit of the Elan team’s streamliner.
Feel the atmosphere in the 6-minute video and check out the photos here.
There are also 17 minute and 26 minute versions of videos from this significant meeting.
