San Dimas, CA. July 2, 2020 – Due to the uncertainties being caused by the Covid 19 crisis here in the U.S., as well as abroad, the 2020 Recumbent Cycle-Con scheduled for October 9-11 has been cancelled. The next Recumbent Cycle-Con will be held October 8-10, 2021, at The Montgomery County Fairgrounds, in Dayton, Ohio. We are looking forward to once again welcoming the recumbent industry and enthusiasts to this exciting event next year.
Since 2011, the annual Recumbent Cycle-Con has brought together recumbent manufacturers, dealers, distributors, accessory makers, and recumbent cycling enthusiasts for an enjoyable weekend of all things ‘bent. Our hope for this year had been that the Covid Crisis would have abated enough to go ahead with the show in October. However, trends in infection rates, particularly in the U.S., paint a very uncertain picture going forward. For our European- and Asian-based exhibitors especially, making travel plans that could be relied on 90 days out from the show is now very difficult, if not approaching the impossible.
While our venue, the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton, Ohio, and the state of Ohio have regulations in place that would currently allow the show to be conducted while maintaining their recommended health protocols, things could easily change in the next weeks and months.
We are very disappointed that circumstances are such that this decision needed to be made, but the health and welfare of everyone involved in the show is our highest concern. We look forward to welcoming everyone once again to the Recumbent Cycle-Con Trade Show & Convention next year, and again in 2022, also at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton, Ohio. Look for more info on the 2021 show to be coming your way soon!
